Employers' Forum on Disability Publications

Disability Communication Guide

The Disability Communication Guide

The Disability Communication Guide helps human resources managers, line managers and all other staff feel at ease when they are communicating with disabled colleagues and customers.

As the Employers' Forum on Disability's best seller, more than one million copies of the Disability Communication Guide have been circulated among UK businesses since the publication's launch in 1999.

This latest edition, produced in association with Barclays plc, has been updated to improve accessibility and ease of use.

Recruitment That Works

Recruitment That Works sets out step by step instructions for both employers wanting to recruit a diverse workforce and for those agencies that help disadvantaged people into work. This updated guide is based on Centrica's experiences of the New Deal for Disabled People project at their British Gas Trading and Services customer service centres in the North West of England, which led to jobs for 50 disabled people and carers.

For further information on the Forum's activities, including publications, events, research, information helpline and membership benefits log on to our website: www.employers-forum.co.uk
